Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan sebuah aplikasi yang digunakan untuk melakukan perancangan sistem informasi geografis yang merupakan sebuah aplikasi dengan tujuan untuk mempermudah masyarakat dalam melakukan pencarian lokasi pondok pesantren di Provinsi Jambi. Dengan perkembangan dan kebutuhan teknologi saat ini dapat dibuat menjadi lebih cepat dan praktis. Metode pengembangan sistem yang penulis gunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode waterfall yang menyelesaikan masalah secara bertahap dan dapat memeriksa kembali jika ada perbaikan pada tahap tertentu. Melalui aplikasi ini memudahkan masyarakat dalam mencari lokasi pondok pesantren yang terdapat pada Sistem Informasi Geografis Pondok Pesantren Provinsi Jambi berbasis android.
The purpose of this research is to build an application that is used to perform the design of geographical information systems is an application with the aim to facilitate the public in searching the location of boarding schools in the Jambi Province. With the development and needs of today's technology can be made to be more fast and practical. A system development method the author use in this research is the waterfall method to resolve the issue gradually and may check back if there was improvement at some stage. Through this application makes it easy for the community in finding the location of the boarding schools in geographic information systems boarding schools Jambi Province based android.
