Perkembangan teknologi dan informasi begitu pesat, sehingga kebutuhan akan informasi sangat diperlukan. Teknologi informasi saat ini dapat di manfaatkan untuk melihat kemampuan calon mahasiswa sehingga ketidakcocokan dan kebimbangan pemilihan program studi dapat dikurangi. Pemilihan program studi pada Stikes saat ini didasarkan pada pilihan calon mahasiswa pada saat melakukan pendaftaran,hal ini dirasa kurang baik karena kecenderungan yang terjadi saat ini, banyak calon mahasiswa yang tidak mengetahui kemampuannya. Mereka bimbang akan memilih program studi yang diinginkannya. Untuk itu dirasakan adanya kebutuhan akan suatu sistem pendukung keputusan agar calon mahasiswa mendapatkan rekomendasi program studi yang sesuai dengan kemampuannya,dan dapat membantu pihak kampus dalam menentukan rekomendasi program studi dengan menggunakan metode TOPSIS (Technique For Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution), dimana sistem yang di buat dilengkapi dengan penginputan data, pengeditan data, penghapusan data,perhitungan data, pencarian data dan pembuatan laporan.
Description Alternative :The development of technology and information so rapidly, so the need for information is needed. Information technology today can be utilized to see the ability of prospective students so that mismatch and lack of choice of study program can be reduced. The selection of courses at Stikes is currently based on the choice of prospective students at the time of registration, it is considered not good because of the tendency that occurs today, many prospective students who do not know his abilities. They are undecided about choosing the courses they want. Therefore, there is a need for a decision support system so that prospective students get recommendation of study program according to their ability, and can help the campus in determining the study program recommendation using TOPSIS (Technique For Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution) method, where the system which is made equipped with data input, data editing, data deletion, data calculation, data search and report generation.
