Pengelolaan nilai merupakan proses yang penting pada sebuah sekolah, diperlukan keakuratan dan kecepatan dalam mengolah nilai siswa. Dengan banyaknya jumlah siswa dan mata pelajaran yang ada pada sebuah sekolah akan merepotkan guru mata pelajaran dalam menghitung nilai akhir matapelajaran siswa dengan cara manual. Bukan hanya guru mata pelajaran yang akan repot diakhir semester, namun wali kelas juga harus kerja lebih untuk mengumpulkan nilai-nilai siswa dari guruguru mata pelajaran.
Dari dasar pemikiran di atas, maka dibangunlah Aplikasi Pengolahan Nilai pada Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri Kota Jambi yang diharapkan dapat membantu dalam pengolahan nilai siswa. Dengan aplikasi ini guru mata pelajaran bisa mengolah nilai akhir siswa tanpa harus mengkalkulasikan secara manual nilai-nilai siswa, guru hanya perlu menginputkan bobot nilai, parameter penilaian, dan nilai siswa, maka aplikasi akan otomatis akan menghitung nilai akhir siswa, selain itu wali kelas bisa langsung mendapatkan nilai akhir siswa pada aplikasi dan kemudian bisa melakukan verifikasi terhadap nilai tersebut.
