Pada saat ini pengolahan data Aset di Dinas Perhubungan (DISHUB) Kota Jambi masih menggunakan sistem yang lumayan rumit dan proses yang berbelit serta melakukan pemborosan kertas. Penginputan datanya pun juga demikian. Hasil dari data asset sampai data invetarisir asset di inputkan melalui blanko data berbasis kertas, kemudian di rekap menggunakan Microsoft word dan hasil pengolahan tersebut diberikan kepada Kepala Penata Usaha Barang untuk kemudian di laporkan hasil asset yang di distribusikan dan asset yang disimpan. Setelah itu, hasilnya akan di inputkan di kepala penyimpan barang untuk di cek kembali. Poses ini terlalu berbelit dan memakan waktu serta biaya kertas yang dapat di efisiensikan, agar menghemat waktu, biaya, dan tenaga, serta lebih efektif. Oleh karena itu dirancang sebuah program sistem informasi invetarisir asset di Dinas Perhubungan (DISHUB) Kota Jambi. Dengan adanya sistem ini, diharapkan ketidak efektifan dan kekurangan yang selama ini di alami, dapat di minimalisir.

At this time Asset data processing in the Department of Transportation (DISHUB) of Jambi City still uses a fairly complicated system and a complicated process and waste paper. Results from asset data to asset inventory data are inputted through paper-based data forms, then recap using Microsoft word and the processing results are given to the Head of the Goods Administration for later reporting the results of the assets distributed and assets stored. After that, the results will be inputted in the goods storage head to be checked again. This process is too complicated and takes paper time and costs that can be efficiency, so that it saves time, cost and energy, and is more effective. Therefore, an asset inventory information system program was designed in the Transportation Department (DISHUB) of Jambi City. With this system, it is expected that inefficiencies and shortcomings that have been experienced can be minimized..
