Museum yang memiliki potensi tinggi sebagai objek wisata belum memperoleh tempat yang sewajarnya dan masih dilihat sebagai aktivitas hidup semata. Permasalahannya, suatu museum sering hanya ditempatkan dalam posisi yang tidak berbeda dengan artshop atau gallery, indah tapi kurang informatif. Kurangnya informasi dari produk yang dipamerkan oleh museum akan berpengaruh pada kepuasan pengunjung yang datang. Oleh karena itu Museum Perjuangan Rakyat Jambi belum mempunyai website yang sesuai dan memadai untuk menginformasikan kepada masyarakat luas. Untuk itu penulis mengangkat kedalam sebuah proyek tugas akhir yang berjudul Sistem Informasi koleksi benda sejarah Pada MuseumPerjuangan Rakyat Jambi berbasi Web. Untuk mempermudah masyarakat mengetahui museum perjuangan rakyat Jambi.Perancangan website ini menggunakan bahasa pemograman PHP dan database MySQL. Penambahan fitur dari website untuk mempermudah masyarakat mengenal museum perjuangan rakyat Jambi dan untuk mempermudah masyarakat mengetahui sejarah dari museum perjuangan rakyat Jambi. Membantu memajukan dan melestarikan kebudayaan dan sejarah yang ada pada museum perjuangan rakyat Jambi yang berbasis web
Deskripsi Alternatif :Museum that has a high potential as a tourist attraction has not obtained a reasonable place and still seen as a mere activity of life. The problem is, a museum is often only placed in a position no different from artshop or gallery, beautiful but less informative. Lack of information from products exhibited by the museum will affect the satisfaction of visitors who come. Therefore the Jambi People Struggle Museum does not yet have an appropriate and adequate website to inform the public at large. For that the author raised into a project of the final task entitled "Information Systems collection of historical objects At MuseumPerjuangan Rakyat Jambi berbasi Web". To facilitate the public know the struggle museum people of Jambi.Perancangan this website using PHP programming language and MySQL database. The addition of features from the website to facilitate the public to know the museum of struggle of the people of Jambi and to facilitate the public to know the history of the struggle museum people of Jambi. Helping to advance and preserve the culture and history of the Jambi people's web-based struggle museum
