Penelitian yang Penulis lakukan pada Perpustakaan Sekolah Dasar Unggul Sakti Jambi bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana sistem pengolahan data Perpustakaan yang ada disana. Metode yang digunakan adalah gabungan dari metode penelitian pustaka, penelitian laboratorium, serta penelitiann lapangan. Permasalahan pokok yang terdapat pada sistem yang lama yakni dikarenakan pengolahan data yang masih bersifat manual, sehingga terdapat kelemahan kelemahan antara lain kurang akuratnya data data yang dihasilkan, sulitnya dalam hal pembuatan laporan serta proses pencatatan yang berulang ulang yang menyulitkan bagi petugas pustaka. Berdasarkan hasil dari penelitian tersebut, peneliti mencoba merancang suatu sistem baru yang lebih efektif dan efisien dengan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman Visual Basic.NET dan Database MySQL. Serta Peneliti berharap agar program ini dapat membantu sistem informasi pengolahan data perpustakaan Sekolah Dasar Unggul Sakti Jambi.
Deskripsi Alternatif :The research which is done in the Library of SD Unggul Sakti Jambi purpose to determine how the data processing system of library is run there. The method of research is a combination of library research, laboratorium research and fiel research. The problem is there on the old system becaused of the data processing still done manually, so that there are many weakness such as the data is got lack of accurate, the difficulty of making the report and recording process repeatly make the librarian. Based on this research, the researcher try to bother design a new system which is more effective and effisient by using programming language Visual Basic.NET and Database My SQL. The researcher hopes that this program can help data processing information system on the library of SD Unggul Sakti Jambi.
