Natural law theorists claim that,necessarily,lawis

comply with. This is the central thesis from which

their developed theory of law take sits starting

point. My aim here is to make clear howwe

might understand natural law theory’s central

thesis, how it can be deployed in a fruit ful theory

of law and why one might take it to be true.
