Penggunaan website dalam dunia teknologi pendidikan mendorong pengembangan situs sebagai media untuk pembelajaran atau sebagai media promosi. Untuk menciptakan situs website perlu memperhatikan aspek usability sebagai kunci keberhasilan dan syarat penerimaan pengguna terhadap situs tersebut. Dalam mengukur tingkat keberhasilan peneliti menggunakan Usability testing dengan kuesioner SUS (Sytem Usability Scale) yang bertujuan untuk menentukan apakah sebuah situs sudah sesuai dengan kebutuhan pengguna. Dengan melibatkan 30 responden hasil pengujian ini menunjukkan keberhasilan level ahli dalam menjalankan skenario serta mendapat nilai SUS rata-rata diatas 50 untuk acceptable ranges menunjukkan bahwa yang diujikan berada pada posisi marginal low, bernilai F untuk grade scale, dan OK pada adjective ratings. Pengujian ini dilakukan untuk mendapatkan saran berupa rekomendasi untuk permasalahan yang terdapat pada website Universitas Terbuka Jambi focus pada registrasi online calon mahasiswa sehingga dapat menjadi rujukan untuk perbaikan atau pengembangan permasalahan yang ada pada sistem.
Deskripsi Alternatif :The use of websites in the world of educational technology encourages the development of sites as a medium for learning or as a promotional medium. To create a website, it is necessary to pay attention to the usability aspect as a key to success and requirements for user acceptance of the site. In measuring the success rate of researchers using Usability testing with the SUS questionnaire (Sytem Usability Scale) which aims to determine whether a site is in accordance with user needs. By involving 30 respondents the results of this test showed the success of the expert level in running the scenario and getting an average SUS score above 50 for the acceptable ranges showed that the tested one was at a marginal low position, F was rated for grade scale, and OK in adjective ratings. This test is done to get advice in the form of recommendations for problems found on the Jambi Open University website focusing on online registration of prospective students so that it can be a reference for the improvement or development of problems that exist in the system.
