Website merupakan salah satu media yang banyak di gunakan dalam dunia pendidikan salah satunya yaitu sebagai pendaftaran online, karena dengan kelebihan dari website dalam penyebaran informasi membuat banyak instansi pendidikan yang telah memanfaatkan teknologi informasi dengan menerapkan pendaftaran siswa baru secara online. SMA Negeri 4 Muaro Jambi merupakan salah satu sekolah yang berada di daerah Sungai Bahar tepatnya berada di Jl. Bougenville 2, Desa Marga Manunggal Jaya Kecamatan Sungai Bahar 4 Kabupaten Muaro Jambi Provinsi Jambi. Pada sekolah ini belum memiliki website sehingga pihak sekolah mengalami kesulitan dalam penyampaian informasi mengenai sekolahnya. Pendaftaran siswa baru pada sekolah ini masih dilakukan dengan cara calon siswa baru datang kesekolah untuk mengambil formulir pendaftaran dan membawa syarat-syarat yang diperlukan, sehingga membutuhkan waktu yang lama dalam pencatatan data pendaftaran sehingga data calon siswa baru tersebut harus di ketik kembali. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membangun suatu rancangan sistem komputerisasi yaitu sistem pendaftaran online menggunakan bahasa pemograman PHP dan MySQL. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat membantu petugas dalam kegiatan pendaftaran siswa baru di SMA Negeri 4 Muaro Jambi.

Website is one of the many media in the use of education in one of them is as an online registration, because with the advantages of the website in the dissemination of information to make many educational institutions that have utilized information technology by applying new student enrollment online. SMA Negeri 4 Muaro Jambi is one of the schools located in the Bahar River precisely located on Jl. Bougenville 2, Marga Manunggal Jaya Village, Sungai Bahar District 4 Muaro Jambi District Jambi Province. At this school does not have a website so the school has difficulty in delivering information about the school. Enrollment of new students at this school is still done by prospective new students come to school to take the registration form and bring the necessary conditions, so it takes a long time in recording the registration data so that the new student data must be re-type. This study aims to build a computerized system design that is online registration system using PHP and MySQL programming language. This research is expected to assist officers in the enrollment of new students in SMA Negeri 4 Muaro Jambi.
