Image transmission from earth observation satellites to ground station is exposed to threats that can affect the confidentiality of data. One of the crucial tasks of on-board computer systems is to ensure the confidentiality of data transmitted from the satellites to the ground stations. Throughout the last two decades, Chaos based data confidentiality has reached a significant achievement. In this paper, we propose a new multispectral image encryption method based on Fridrich's scheme. The obtained experimental results show that the proposed method has a good security level with low hardware complexity and low power and can reach a throughput of 120 Mbit/s.
