This research is a purpose for made alternative stake out transaction service, borrower book make a use smart card technology on primer library Andalas University.


Method of research is with on a collecting data, problem definition, data analisys, data processing and mode plan. Made of plan envelope architecture model application smart card system.


Result of research can be for apply application smart card system on library Andalas University, two requirement must be compiled with is : system requirement and user requirement. Should smart card technology have a much superiority comparison with card technology other, but the price is expensive and do not sale on retail until be able difficult in Indonesian. Application smart card system is very much in use this time is sector telecommunication carrying, transportation, flight, banking and university. Suggest to Andalas University with total student and visitor is sufficient much, must be apply technology smart card for increase integration service, is good in university area or with organization external be connected as Bank, Pemda, Hospital and institution other.
