Pangkas Rambut adalah usaha yang yang berpusat di Kota Jambi yang bergerak di bidang jasa pangkas rambut khususnya di Kota Jambi usaha ini semakin berkembang sehingga jumlah pangkas rambut semakin banyak, perkembangan teknologi saat ini sangat pesat dibuktikan bekembangnya teknologi smartphone Mobile SIG. Perangkat smartphone yang telah berkembang saat ini adalah android. Aplikasi Mobile SIG telah di kombinasikan dengan smartphone. Hal ini baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung berpengaruh terhadap perkembangan dunia usaha. Salah satu media elektroniknya adalah pangkas rambut. Penyebaran lokasi pangkas rambut yang sangat luas menyebabkan masyarakat mengalami kesulitan untuk memperoleh informasi letak lokasi pangkas rambut terdekat yang ada di Kota Jambi. Hal tersebut mendorong penulis untuk membuat sebuah aplikasi Mobile SIG untuk mencari lokasi pangkas rambut di Kota Jambi. Dalam perkembangan aplikasi ini menggunakan sistem oprasi android yang merupakan salah satu sistem operasi telepon saluler yang berpopuler saat ini dipadukan dengan google maps yang merupakan layanan peta dunia vitual berbasis web yang di sediakan oleh Google
